[Blog Reads] February 2017

The end of the month is going to be crazy for me this year, so I decide to post the monthly “Blog Reads” a bit earlier. I notice how right now, I am mostly curious about data visualization and computer science news. Hope you enjoy this post!

Ford to Invest $1 Billion in Artificial Intelligence Start-Up Yop, this is happening. Unsurprisingly, with both Google and Uber investing heavily in auto-driven cars, Ford needs to stay updated with market demand. And its first step to do so is by injecting a $1 Billion budget to a start up in Silicon Valley.

The most complex problem in physics could be solved by machines with brains As mentioned in this post, “One small breakthrough in condensed-matter physics could change everything. ” Considering how far AI and ML had went in the few years, this article suggests that the next physics breakthrough can be discovered using machine intelligence.

This week, Bill Gates sat with Canadian Youtuber Lilly Singh aka iiSuperwomanii to discuss about Real Life problems. I love how Mr.Gates can expand on any subject so easily.

Why Our Super Bowl Ad Failed Of course, we all remember that this month, the Super Bowl was held. Do you remember the Cards Against Humanity (CAH) add? Probably not. I wanted to forget it as soon as I saw it and was happy to do so.. until I read this post. Nice reflection on the failed marketing move by the CAH team.
